Musical Director

With effect from January 2008, Andy Burchfield has been confirmed as Musical Director, taking over from Peter Lewis.

New players wanted

We are always on the lookout for new players and welcome musicians of all ages. There is a minimum standard of ABRSM Grade 6 or equivalent. Don’t worry if you don’t have the actual qualification, as we are happy to give anyone who would like to join, the chance to demonstrate their ability over a few rehearsals. (It’s all good fun and informal so no scary auditions!)

If you would like to come along and join us, we are particularly seeking clarinets, french horns and a percussionist. Please contact us to find out more, or alternatively, come along to a rehearsal to give us a try (see rehearsal dates below).

Feedback

 St Wilfred’s Hospice, Chichester

Many thanks for your marvellous donation of £450 raised through holding a concert at St Paul’s Church – it was clearly a success.

Support such as yours enables the Hospice to carry on its work, despite an annual running cost of £2.9 million – 85 per cent of which has to be found from private and voluntary sources. So you can see why your donation is valued greatly. Once again, thank you so much.

 Chichester Festival of Flowers

Thank you so much for playing at our Festival of Flowers. The dust at long last has settles and we are confident that we matched last time's figure in terms of overall profit.

Everyone has commented at how wonderful the playing was at the Flower Festival and it certainly adds another dimension to an extremely happy and memorable day out for our visitors. I am so grateful to you for agreeing to help.

Again thank you.
