A fellow community band run by Andrew Burchfield based over in Shoreham. This band perform regularly around the area and also do a bit of travelling, having performed in a number of locations around Europe.

Bognor Regis Concert Band

Our good colleagues over at Bognor, this one run by Howard Burchfield – twin brother of Andy. As well as lots of other performances, they are becoming particularly well known for an excellent ‘Proms In The Park’ concert held every year at Hotham park. A very good event.

East Sussex Concert Band

The East Sussex Concert Band is a community concert band based in Chailey, UK. Directed by Johnathan Bailey, this band plays concerts throughout East Sussex and also embarks on regular short tours to various places in Europe.

Littlehampton Concert Band

Bob Haselip

Bob Haselip is at the helm of this fun community band. As well as performing all over the county, the highlight of their concert calendar is the Last Night of the Proms, held in Littlehampton every September – very popular indeed.

Phoenix Big Band

This big band uses many local talents, some of whom have been members of our own ensemble.

Northbrook Concert Band

Another local band this time from Broadwater in Worthing. Directed by Lancing Orchestra conductor Ruth Summers, this band is lots of fun and has a strong community focus.

Petworth Town Band

Everything a friendly, enthusiastic and entertaining town band ought to be: established since the middle of the 19th century – and still going strong.

West Chiltington Silver Band

Annette Clifford

This local silver band has been going for over a century, and has seen recent revival under leadership of Annette. They play a range of brass band music and accept competent players of all standards. Beware, they are strictly brass so don’t try to smuggle your saxophone in!

The Sussex Band of The Royal British Legion (Horsham)

A concert band consisting of woodwind, brass and percussion, that also takes part in parades and carnivals. The band also has a Dance band made up from members of the main concert band.
